In Honor of our President and Majority Congress

That's a beard anybody in the proletariat could be proud of.

  1. Ahhhhhh Marx! As Campolo said, "He tried to convey the Kingdom of God yet without God..." a terrible feax pas.

He was right you know on his Golden Rule. HE WHO HAS THE GOLD RULES. He was frustrated with worldly power systems (the Paris Hilton's of the world who have lots of capital and continue to build their kingdom's on the back of the laborers). He rightly divined the fact that a Paris Hilton could have so much capital (including her looks which she has parlayed into worldly collateral) and contribute so little to humanity. So Marx contends that somebody (the state) should take away her material holdings and give it to people who sweat for food.

Marx is villified in our capitalistic society, but at a few points he articulated something closer to the Gospel than the god of Greed on Wall Street.

  2. Well, he said religion is the opiate of the people...that has become less and less applicable. As an opiate, politics has far surpassed religion.
